Thanks Colin for using your site to remind people that we are all connected and must take care of each other on this tiny, blue planet. Each and every time I have eaten this week I bow my head and thank God that I am able to just walk into the next room and eat when I am hungry.I feel so selfish and cry when I remember that a little piece of food that I “throw away” because i`m on a diet, could have “filled” someones whole DAY of finding what they can scrounge up.I feel so ashamed…

There is a hidden blessing in all of this… What we do as people over the next month will determine the future (if any) of the Planet. For the skeptics out there, read that comment carefully and repeatedly if necessary.
I truly believe that we are entering a new dark age in Human history.
I could be wrong. I hope to God that I am wrong.
Like someone said in a letter to an editor in the city paper this weekend…
“America is going to send 800 Million to Haiti… J.P. Morgan Chase paid its executives over 9 Billion dollars in salaries and rewards over the last few years.
That is the kind of World we currently live in.
If we cannot right this wrong…
Then there is no hope.

Thanks for the reminder. I’m giving to Oxfam and Doctors without Borders. Let’s see if JP Morgan Chase responds.
